パラフレーズ版・シンプル版 Part 1 This small white dog is a police dog. Her name is Anzu. I’d like to tell you her story. Mr. Suzuki saved Anzu from an animal shelter in 2013. She was three months old and was almost put down. At that time, Mr. Suzuki already had three German shepherds and planned to give her to someone else. However, his dogs accepted her, so he decided to keep her. Part 2 Mr. Suzuki is a dog trainer with the Ibaraki Police. One day, Anzu started copying his other dogs. For fun, he told her, “Stand!” and “Sit!” She understood and followed his words. So, he decided to train her as a police dog. Training was difficult for Anzu. She could jump over low hurdles, but high ones were difficult. One time, a hawk almost attacked her while she was searching for something in the grass. Even with these problems, she never gave up. Part 3 People thought Anzu couldn’t become a police dog, but she showed they were wrong. She is not as fast as bigger dogs, but she doesn’t miss small clues. She is also useful in crowded places because criminals don’t notice her. She often searches for missing people with dementia because she is cute and not scary. Since Anzu passed the test in 2015, the Ibaraki Police have started accepting other small dogs. Part 4 Josh: Anzu’s story is amazing! She passed the same test as big dogs. Never give up on your dreams! Naoki: A weakness can sometimes be your strength. Anzu can do things big dogs cannot do. Hannah: Anzu was lucky that Mr. Suzuki saved her, but many cats and dogs in shelters are not so lucky. What can we do to help them? Lesson 2 Go, Anzu!((シシンンププルル版版))パラフレーズした英文と,本文を平易な内容に言い換えたシンプル版の英文を用意しています。29
